To take advantage of the rapid growth in wireless traffic driven by new network technology adoption such as Long Term Evolution (LTE) and IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS), communications service providers (CSPs) must ensure that their policy systems can scale to meet business demands and optimize network monetization. Oracle Communications Policy and Charging Analytics enables CSPs to accelerate time to market for effective policies, while delivering a superior customer experience.

Oracle today announced the release of Oracle Communications Policy and Charging Analytics, an analytics application designed to help CSPs monitor and understand the impact of policies and charging on network usage, new offer launches, subscriber usage, and customer retention. Oracle Communications Policy and Charging Analytics further extends the analytics capabilities of the Oracle Communications analytics product line, enabling CSPs to leverage advanced customer churn prediction, customer segmentation, and sentiment analysis analytics models.
The new application comes with prebuilt reports and dashboards in support of the following business areas:
Policy execution: Demonstrates the different aspects of policy execution and provides impact analysis and “what-if” scenario simulations for subscriber usage, new offer launches, and network usage
Quota usage: Helps CSPs understand the impact of new offers and policies on how subscribers will use their data plans
Customer metrics: Provides insight into individual subscriber metrics across various parameters such as number of months exceeding data plan, type of handset used, or data usage patterns by time of day and day of month, allowing CSPs to create more personalized and targeted offerings
CSPs can more quickly and easily make informed decisions when designing new marketing plans and service offerings with the data collected from Oracle Communications Policy and Charging Analytics’ reports and dashboards, reducing the costs and risks of deploying customer solutions.
Oracle Communications Policy and Charging Analytics is pre-integrated with Oracle Communications Policy Management, enabling rapid implementation of the product and providing a complete view of aggregated policy data. In addition, it leverages Oracle OLAP cubes to collect multidimensional information on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
Oracle Communications Policy and Charging Analytics is the newest member of the Oracle Communications analytics product line, which includes:

Oracle Communications Billing Analytics and Oracle Communications Social Network Analytics
