News Facts To advance its mission of ensuring access to high-quality, patient-centered, cost-effective healthcare for Los Angeles County residents, Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) is deploying Oracle Enterprise Healthcare Analytics components as the foundation for its new Enterprise Patient Data Repository (EPDR).
Los Angeles County DHS will use the solution to create an integrated data warehouse for clinical, utilization, and financial reporting that will help the health system improve decision making and better match services and resources to patient needs.
Oracle Enterprise Healthcare Analytics will play an important role in helping Los Angeles County DHS to analyze and evaluate departmental operations, understand and improve service and resource utilization, and make system and patient healthcare delivery improvements.
The EPDR will allow Los Angeles County DHS to more effectively align with the new Affordable Care Act and managed care environment.
Los Angeles County DHS selected Oracle Enterprise Healthcare Analytics, and its Oracle Healthcare Data Warehouse Foundation and Oracle Healthcare Analytics Data Integration components, for the solution’s mature and flexible healthcare-specific data model and its past experience with Oracle applications and technology.
Oracle Health Sciences Consulting will work with Los Angeles County Department of Health Services to accelerate the deployment and help to ensure the agency can maximize the value of its investment.
