University of Kansas to Transform Financial Processes with Integrated Cloud-Based Platform

As higher education institutions work to replace aging infrastructure and maintain a modern IT environment, many are moving to the cloud to adapt to the changing higher education market while advancing strategic goals. To succeed in this rapidly evolving industry, The University of Kansas (KU) selected Oracle Cloud to empower its students, faculty, and staff with a unified platform delivering innovative functionality via a modern interface.  

As part of its comprehensive strategy to transform, integrate, and streamline core financial processes, KU selected Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Cloud, Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud, and Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud to integrate with its existing Oracle’s PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions applications. By moving to the cloud, KU can now drive strategic student educational initiatives, focus on operational efficiencies and reduce costs associated with lengthy upgrade cycles.

With the Oracle Cloud solutions in place, KU will have a complete, modern system that delivers scalability, reliability, and rapid time to value. The university will now have a comprehensive view of its finances across the campus with end-to-end capabilities—from planning and budgeting to reporting—enabling the university to gain insight into critical information in real-time with an integrated analytics platform for improved decision-making. KU will also be able to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of its planning and budgeting processes.
